JUNIOR ARCHITECT

William / Kaven Architecture is a multidisciplinary architecture and design studio based in Portland, Oregon. We are seeking a full-time Junior Architect to work in a collaborative team environment on an exciting and diverse range of projects including both commercial and residential environments.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor or Masters of Architecture degree from an accredited program  

  • 3+ years experience in architectural design

Proficiency in:

  • Revit

  • Sketch Up

  • Adobe Photoshop and In Design  

  • Strong design and communication skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and refinement of design concepts under the guidance of a Lead Designer

  • Development of technical detailing 

  • Incorporating/coordinating consultant work

  • Production drawings under the guidance of a Project Architect.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. Salary is competitive and based on qualifications and experience.

INTERIOR DESIGNER

William / Kaven Architecture is a multidisciplinary architecture and design studio based in Portland, Oregon. We are seeking a full-time Interior Designer to work in a collaborative team environment on an exciting and diverse range of projects, including both commercial and residential environments. The qualified candidate will be familiar with the design process, including programming, interior architecture, documentation, and FF&E specifications.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Architecture or Interior Design program  

  • 3-5 years experience in interior design

Proficiency in:

  • Revit

  • Sketchup

  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

  • Space planning, furniture selection and material specification

  • Strong design and communication skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and refinement of design concepts under the guidance of a Lead Designer

  • Development of furniture plans, elevation drawings, diagrams and technical detailing

  • Assisting with all project phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents

  • Researching and sourcing interior finishes, fabrics and furniture 

  • Incorporating/coordinating consultant work into production drawings

  • Assisting with furniture purchasing and procurement

  • Creating proposals and purchase orders, coordinating vendor payment

  • Liaising with product representatives, vendors and fabricators
